Paper folded in half a record 13 times

Shepppardsays...

I gotta say I'm actually with the mythbusters mindset on this.

it's much easier to just fold a really really long but not wide piece of paper multiple times, but the challenge comes from having one almost as wide as it is long.

This just seems like cheating.

this is the kind of thing that i would say is good for young kids bit lame for kids this age.

this is like 18yr old watching play school and taking notes , granted if they had fun grate but seems really tedouse for a very predictable and limted outcome , they allso seem to be taking it so seriously id onyl ever want to do something like this if it was realy casual and having a good laff.

Considering they needed to and were allowed to all lean on it to keep it from unfolding, couldnt you fold it more using mechanical means that could apply more strength?

Where does this maximum of 7 come from? Seems completely arbitrary. I figure you can fold it an infinite number of times provided you have infinite length paper.

Go find a piece of paper and fold it in half, length then width etc. and see if you can make it past 7, that's where the number comes from.

However, this really is cheating because they're only folding it one way, and they're holding it down so it doesn't flip again.
