Nirvana "About a Girl" played live in a basement in 87

You can find this video on the DVD in the box set called With the Lights Out that was released four or five years ago. It's a live recording of Nirvana performing About a Girl in someone's basement in 1987. I'm curious to see if there are any old Nirvana fans on the Sift.

Here they cover Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song that same night: http://www.videosift.com/video/Nirvana-covers-Immigrant-Song-in-1987
Throbbinsays...

I love Nirvana - always will.

But watching that video just reminds me of how awkward and nerd-grungy they were. Makes me wonder if I was that nerd-grungy listening to them in the 90's.

Anyone else feel for that fat dude with the beer, who had no choice but to wish he had instrumental skillz and wasn't forced to stand there, head bowed in deference?
