I think it's arguable whether printed food would be better than the MREs. It would take up less space which is an advantage.

... How the hell does this help feed 7 billion people? It is the exact OPPOSITE idea needed to sustain large growing families. I guarantee you, that printed food will be totally devoid of any real nutritional value. Best foods have always been and will always be a large assortment of raw veggies.
