That last part might actually be medically true. People who live a long time, usually have a "purpose" that keeps them going on, according to a TED talk I can't remember the name of. Centigenarians something?

What a kick to see Andy show up here. We live in the same town, and I can attest to the love he shows the kids and the love that is returned.

We were all so proud when he was featured on this national program.

His health has taken another turn for the worse -- send him good thoughts.

"I don't think that Bill Gates feels any richer inside than I do."

This is probably far truer than he thinks. What a wonderful person.

When I watch the news I should cry because I've seen something beautiful, not something awful. Why don't we see more of people like this?

As a student of medicine, I'd just like to point out the fact that people should not take this as an example and reason to not take their medicine. The human body is a very complex entity, and we do all we can to try and extend the life of any one person.

This man is a statistical outlier when it comes to medicated vs unmedicated so please, if your doctor prescribes you medicine, take it. He does it for you, and not for some conspiracy theory pharmeceutical company.

Inspiring story.

This guy is great and all, but I think he needs to read a little about the Gates foundation...

Sorry but Bill philanthropizes more in his sleep than this guy dreams of.

Having a lot and giving a lot is wonderful and laudable, but I think it's a far greater act of charity to have little and give as much as you can.

Plus he was talking about feeling richer inside (a reference to Gates huge personal fortune), not making more of an impact than him. ; )

TickTocksays...

After a re-watch, you could be right, I may have missed the point.

I thought he was comparing his charity to Gates wealth and saying he was richer than Gates as he was giving back. I was just trying to correct him saying that Gates dones crap-piles of giving.

My bad.

Kreegathsays...

Let's just agree that both this guy and Bill Gates are doing good in the world, and be happy with that. Someone's philathropic efforts aren't negated by anyone else doing more.
