RFlaggsays...You'll float too *promote
Got to say, it's one of King's books I've meant to read, but never have yet.
siftbotsays...Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 3:22pm PDT - promote requested by RFlagg.
Mordhausjokingly says...It's like...deja vu, all over again.
antsays...*commercial
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Commercial) - requested by ant.
ChaosEnginesays...It's a very difficult book to translate. There are several parts that are borderline unfilmable and one scene that they will NEVER do.

Mordhaussays...I know which scene you speak of, it would be exceedingly difficult without advancing the ages of the protagonists.

Shepppardsays...Yeah... in a book about a killer clown.. thing, that was actually the part that stood out as the most "wtf" for me.
I just... really?

transmorpherjokingly says...Good to see Carrot Top in a hollywood movie.
Paybacksays...I haven't read it in like, 20 years, although I remember something about Pennywise actually being an alien or some sort of Elder God that you had to bite his tongue off or something.
Just Googled and found out "Ritual of Chud".
YAY! I MEMBERED SOMETHING!!!

moonsammysays...Since when are teasers over 2 minutes long?
I'm hoping this is excellent, but just don't see how they can adequately compress it to a single movie. I really liked the miniseries they made in 1990, and can't imagine a better Pennywise than Tim Curry. We'll see.
Paybacksays...Neither can I, but I think Skarsgård might do Robert Gray justice.

ChaosEnginesays...Oddly, I also thought that it was one of the least scary books that King has written. I read a lot of King when I was younger and some of his stuff terrified me, especially some of the short stories.
But IT was almost more fantasy than horror.
Making your antagonist a creepy killer clown is almost redundant, as I'm pretty sure that ALL clowns are creepy and evil...
or in the case of Insane Clown Posse, fucking stupid
