What I inferred from this video isn't what I think the author intended. I believe the implication was that we're lost our "economic freedom" (whatever that's a euphemism for) and that's why our country is so unstable.

What I took from it, is that the increasing disparity between the wealthy and the poor in this country are both a cause and effect of economic freedom.

When you want to get away with doing something you know harms other people, chances are, you're going to use the word freedom to describe why you should be able to do it.

Ill ask the same question I asked renatojj in another sift. How exactly do you measure "freedom" objectively.

Oh by the way, all the citations in this Koch funded video are, from a Koch funded "think-tank" Why am I not surprised?

Also, I noticed that chart at 0:21 uses "average income per person" which is a highly misleading statistic. Using the median income per person is more reasonable, but that would fuckup their pretty pretty graphic.

Average income per person in the US is ~50k USD
Median income per person is ~26k USD

And yes, for the math impaired, for the average to be so much higher than the median means that the top end of income is incredible skewed.

Hey, isn't part of this "economic freedom" all about increasing profits for the wealthiest and driving down wages of the poorest in our own country by exploiting the cheap labor in those countries at the bottom of the charts?
