First of all, those weren't "railroad ties" - 2x4's maybe...

Yes, he has a right to be upset over that video clip.
Though his "blame" is VERY misplaced!

That's like saying, "I'm mad because MSWindows keeps crashing and it's because not enough people read books!" The two are just simply unrelated!

His theory would only work if a Christian had never killed before because of those 10 Commandments. He acts like violence is a new thing, like we haven't been killing each other for stupid reasons for centuries.

Fuck Glenn Beck and his bullshit anger and sincerity.

Gangs suck, no ifs, ands or buts. They have crusades against each other - those are never good. One gang likes red, one likes blue. One likes sky cake and the other is adamant that it's sky pie! Rational people don't want to be in gangs. The thrive on the misfortune of others, sustaining themselves on weak people who can't see any other way. Using the gang as protection, comfort, security, these people don't want to be against the gang alone, but rather be on friendly terms with them and against other gangs. This is a bad thing.

At first I thought maybe these kinds of things are a result of low education and still that may be what causes a moment like this. Then I thought how were things different in the past? If you go back to the 50's I could not tell you there was that much of a difference. Maybe pop culture? Then when you go back a little further things do start to change school was not as important then as it is now. Working on your folks farm was a necessity or any other profession with your family. So just an idea maybe separating kids from there families was not such a good idea after all. Taking them from home and putting them altogether with only minimal adult supervision could that be the problem? I don't the answer, me I always thought violent people reminded me of animals and that was one thing that always seemed repulsive to me about it. I don't know how smart these people are so I cant really say they are morons but they sure give off that impression.

Way to take a senseless, completely-unrelated-to-religion death, and using it to push your agenda, Glenn. I wouldn't have expected any less from you.

But he's right, you know. We should quarantine the godless heathens who are destroying our society from within. But...there are so many now! What to do, what to do... (taps fingers) I know, let's put them in camps!

I wonder, then, how might he explain how the countries with the lowest crime rates, including violent crimes, are also the least religious countries?

Glenn Becks theory predicts the opposite, however, and therefor can be ignored.

Wow, disgusting. The fight was a horrible display of humanity, and so is Beck for using the senseless and violent death of a child to push his own agenda. I'd be willing to bet most everyone in that video, gang bangers included, identify themselves as Christians. What happened has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with decades of oppression and poverty, and probably the glorification of violence in American society.

Hes appealing to the only audience he has left since 95% of his sponsors dropped his ass.....the incestuous, uneducated hick motherfuckin hillbillies that take everything he says as gospel.

You know...the same ones the rest of the repubs are taking their marching orders from.

They are irrelevant.

Glenn Beck proves again that he has zero street knowledge

I have studied gangs for many years, and there isn't one statement in Glenn Beck's video that you can take for a fact. He states that the kid was killed with a railroad tye - totally false. Anyone with a half an ounce of street knowledge could guess that is a board off of a park bench. How many skinny gang bangers can swing a 100 lbs railroad tye? He states that this happened because we took prayer out of the public schools and off of money. Not even a nice try - Beck - the seed for gang violence was planted in the 40s and 50s. The Chicago gang - the Cornell Square Rebels - killed two people and beat up two Chicago Police Officers all before the year of 1959, when their was prayer in the public schools. A 1957 New York Times article listed the words used by gang members so parents could listen and see if their kids were involved in gang activity. Beck - a little research before making a commentary goes a long way.

It goes to prove that I have forgot more about gangs than Glenn Beck knows.

Have fun listening to nothing! A brain is a terrible thing to waste!

Yes, Beck could not even get the simple weapon right! This commentary was a total waste of time as it was factually incorrect.
