Girl Learns to Dance in a Year

When you watch someone perform, you're seeing them at the top of their game. When they score the winning point or sell their company for millions — you're seeing them in their moment of glory. What you don't see is the thousands of hours of preparation. You don't see the self doubt, the lost sleep, the lonely nights spent working. You don't see the moment they started. The moment they were just like you, wondering how they could ever be good.

I was going to say that too. Her at day 136 was more impressive than her at 365. I'd be more interested in seeing her in 5 years when her dancing is more refined and organic. Nonetheless, good on her for sticking with it!

Just me or did her 365-day performance seem sloppier than her earlier ones?

Still, cool video.

I feel like we're half way to YouTube . . .

Personally, I've never been one to appreciate dancing so I'm in so place to judge. As far as I could tell, she certainly went from nothing to something, which was the point I believe.

Every who says she danced at better at 'Day 136' obviously has no formal dance experience (which is not a 'diss' or anything) or knowledge of body isolation. She has learned to control much more of her body by 'Day 365'. Day 165 is a simple hand tutting routine that any average person can learn in a day (plus the waist groove-pointing thing). Day 365 she has constant body movement, and better facial expressions (which most beginner dancers are extremely scared to do since they are nervous that people are judging).

Thanks for helping to educate those of us with zero dance experience.

Still, to the untrained eye, it's less impressive, but she's obviously aiming at impressing a trained eye like yours.
