Looks very interesting. I just hope they didn't give away too much in the trailer, as Hollywood is wont to do.

With Copley, Wu, and Cordero on board, I hope you're right, because that trailer is pretty terrible. Ugly DV image, awful dialogue, there's not much to be worked up about.

The ice provides the shielding for the sea life which are geothermally warm from the massive tectonic activity from being so close to Jupiter ... Or something.

Didn't we already see this plot in Apollo 18?

It seems to me that these type of scifi flicks often contain an element of horror, too.
I am not a big fan of this.
I understand that any good story must have conflict. But not all conflict has to be "the big bad scary monster". Sometimes it can be internal. Sometimes it can simply be the fear of the unknown.
I want to see a good, solid space movie that encompasses wonder and the element of fear without using it as an excuse to use to dip in to the horror genre.
Maybe I'll just watch 2001: A Space Odyssey again.

I agree. I thought this was looking great and then they went underwater and.... gee I wonder how this will turn out? Oh look, exactly what I expected.

Now, maybe we're wrong. Maybe this is some epic misdirection and it'll turn out really interesting, but I'm not hopeful.

MAybe it's gonna be a giant conscious membrane under the water that constitutes the entire moon....It's a frikkin' space amoeba er giant fungus under there

Maybe one that physically manifests the hopes and fears of the humans close to it...
