9-Year-Old scores incredible zorro hockey goal

Wish I could do that

Cool to watch and the kid shows some good puck control, but I imagine Crosby or Ovechkin would have less luck attempting to slip that one past a goalie that didn't stand on the goal line directly between the pipes...

I think the reason you don't see much of this in NHL games is that there's usually too much pressure from the defence.

From the body language I think the goalie was thinking it was some kind of cheat or practical joke on him for a few seconds, he was completely caught off guard.

I'm impressed the little bugger did this, but it's also incredibly annoying. My reasoning is because there's absolutely 0 reason you should ever need to know that, and yet kids spend more time practicing these shots then the core-techniques you actually use in a game.

You will never ever ever find an opportunity in a game to perform something like this, and if you do, then you're risking a perfect, open opportunity for an easy goal to instead dazzle people with at meaningless trick-shot (and risk missing). Yet again, kids spend most of their time practicing this stuff then anything else.

Plus this specific shot has been done to DEATH for the past decade. Not to shit on this kid's parade or anything.

Do multiple replays from different angles qualify this vid for the timeshift channel?

No, it wouldn't.

But I see where you're coming from - and on first glance, I wondered the same thing. So I carefully re-watched the vid before slapping on that channel tag when I was submitting this - time from blue line to red circle after the goal was 5 seconds. One of the replays, from shot to red circle was also 5 seconds, hence, confirmation of what I suspected - they did slow down the video, but not dramatically, hence, it's a little tricky to tell unless you watch carefully.
