Black Friday 2012 Fights At Wal Mart Over Phones

I like how some people think it's the companies fault shoppers acted like this... like they have no self control.

And others think it's natural human behaviour.... and they have no self control.

And others are embarrassed this makes Americans look like greedy consumerists.

Rocket Launches High into the Air and Lands Vertically

Reusable launch vehicles aren't flawed as a concept. They just require innovation that a bureaucratic risk averse govt organisation like NASA can't produce.

The space shuttles were designed in the 60s/70s, its like saying cars are unsafe because a government designed 80's car doesn't have a modern 5 star crash rating.

Captain Cook or Christopher Columbus would never have sailed if people worried about ships sinking or people dying.>> ^deedub81:

"reusable launch vehicles"
Just ask NASA how that worked out for them.

Low Cost Solution To Landmine Clearance.

Gotta agree with @Drachen_Jager .

Cute idea the internet is going to love, but not really practical. Imagine deploying just a hundred of these. Each one moving randomly by wind and bounce... appearing to cover 4-5 feet width but only actually covering the width of contact with the surface, then dying in a large awkward pile.

You can't send any new ones because the old ones now block the way, and you can't go get them because you can't be sure where they rolled and where they didn't.

I definitely would have preferred this ending... It has so much more to say about the humanity of the situation. Just killing him at the end was just so...zombie horror cliche and pointless.

Never Before Seen Footage of Secret Mormon Temple Rituals

Humans are evolved to be social animals. I think they are also evolved to be religious animals. It doesn't make any of it true, and it doesn't matter what religion it is. It makes sense: hundreds of thousands of years of evolution and belief in magic, witch doctors, animal spirits, priests, gods and angels, - all of which binding the rules of the social group, rejecting or killing those who don't believe... is bound to reinforce some biological traits. It's even proven that these traits can be artificially triggered through strong magnetic fields or even drugs.

So... a diet of religion is good for you... has a biochemical effect creating a sense of well-being and belonging.

@shinyblurry 's personal relationship God is no different than that of a Hindu, Buddist, Tao or Mormon... i'm sure it feels good.

I think people get too obsessed with being intolerant of religion just to hurt others and feel superior. But it's like telling a child there's no santa or magic... why ruin something nice just because facts get in the way?

Reality is all subjective. If you like your's please enjoy but keep it to yourself.
