Why would you prefer chrome over firefox?
Just asking because I do not have a preference after opera dropped out of my sweet spot.

This seems to be a false positive issue on chromes end for some days.
Saw some logs from admins reporting the same for the current version of chrome post 04032017. Also, there were false positives due to a bug some time ago.

It can result from taking up malformed parts of the page due to missing / unbound variables etc. and interpreting it as modified site content. Even perfectly fine content can be misinterpreted in certain circumstances.

Try using another browser for the time being.

Do not disable protective measures. It is however possible that indeed parts of your page were modified by browser plugins and or wanted or unwanted additions to your system. If in question perform a scrubbing on your system via a bootable system if desired.

It may be that this topic is polarizing. But is it necessary that the flow of communication in this thread degrades to a level close to a "youtube discussion" ? Remember that even if you may fail to find a common political foundation to create a society, you are still talking to human beings, trolls and bots capable of feeling pain.

I went deeper into the history of the sift.
I've read lots and lots of threads buried in the past. After that I found out that the videosift is not a place where I want to be.
Back to lurking, watching a video from time to time, ... .

This account is very very young and still waiting to gain the reputation it currently lacks. The person behind the account, has been around much much longer but just recently decided to participate in an active manner.
Since the cookies were eaten there is no verifiable source for that claim. It is true that I favor a future where we have a thriving VideoSift (Passion, check). Sadly, I can not say that there is a knowledge of the community gears (With focus on the sift) good enough to be called deep.

So, in short I lack reputation and a deep knowledge regarding the VideoSift. From the perspective of a poweruser this has to be a "no go".
However, your nomination needs to be rewarded since it enhanced my motivation regarding this option even further. I am currently spending time on learning more about VS. Directly after that, I'll apply ( In about 2 - 3 days. I have a project that needs attention right now. ).

I am happy with my powers right now (And I will sift my first video when I find it).

But I sense that a lot of people put time in thinking about improvements on the sift. Maybe a change/feature - request page would be a probable solution ( votes and discussions set the context and weight to the request ) in order to utilize these willing forces. It will give users a place to put and discuss requests. And the developer party the option to respond directly to given requests (yes / would be awesome but we have no rocket ship / next version / no).

That being said I am unaware of the current life/release cycle of the sift and manpower behind it. So someone may apply a sanity check to my suggestion.
