I posted this video purely for it's wtf factor. Somehow, this has ignited a serious conversation as to what and what does not constitute true art, and has called her artistic integrity and true motivations into question. Although I wouldn't classify this as 'high art', who the fuck am I to say that it is completely devoid of artistic merit? This seems to be more along the lines of conceptual performance art, and I highly doubt that she billed this as 'great theatre'...I enter into videos, such as this, with experiential prejudices and preconceived notions of the 'pretentious hipster artist', and I judge her and her type quite harshly, dismissing her work as an infantile attempt to induce shock value. If I knew that she was some kind of Julliard alumni who was touted as 'the future of dance', I wonder how that might affect my rating this video on a scale of 'artistic merit'. At least this production has balls and doesn't pander to the accepted norm. I would love to hear the average sifters critical analysis of a Picasso(for instance). We all know that he's considered to be a master, but why? Could you explain it without rehashing what you learned in Art History or what you've read on Wikipedia? Art fascism is an ugly thing. In the end it boils down to personal opinion....

dont feel bad for the dupeof invocation....i'd rather know asap as opposed to watching the votes skyrocket only to find out a day or two later that it's a dupe...dont know if it was intentional but you invoked the youtube url instead of the videosift url. I'm going to make a concerted effort to maintain correspondence with my sift buddies and fb friends. I've been lagging lately due to my studies, but I have the persistent nagging feeling that I should nurture my on-line friendships. I just realized a couple of days ago that you had been awarded a silver star. That was crazy quick, and well deserved. Congrats! I hope you are finding life to your liking. Mine is currently filled to the brim with happiness and moments of sublime absurdities, and I continue to absorb every last drop...namaste...

Ditto to Geo....old embed works fine...above the bold 'Get the embed code' text it says 'Dont like change? Use the old embed code instead'.....you have to click it twice tho, once to highlight and once to convert it to the old embed style....the iframe is much shorter than the classical embed, so you'll be able to tell when it's switched over.... >> ^geo321:

Vimeo has a new embed code that I found I couldn't use. But within their embed box they allow you to switch it back to the old embed coding which works for me. If you can't use the old embed coding I don't know what the problem would be.

That's not an epic fail, don't misuse the word.
An epic fail would have the first building fall on the second building, possibly with people inside.
Don't get me wrong, that would have been bad. But that would have qualified for "epic fail". This does not.
