This is a nice website for content. Nonetheless, I always thought the comments were the best part: informative, well educated, funny, etc. However, my experience is that although some here provide insightful commentary, many established users bully new users whose views they don't agree with. For the site as a whole, I think this is a terrible problem. It is new perspectives that enrich this site and provide it with longevity, with all due respect to established and capable users whose ethics are sound and sifts are provocative.

I wonder what his reaction would be knowing that the establishment here would down vote his comments.

This human centric attitude is why I have an issue with your post. You seem oblivious to the fact that certain animals share a bond with humanity and have throughout history played a role in human survival. These creatures have placed their trust in us. Dogs specifically have earned our trust, admiration and compassion .. and continue to save human lives every single day, often throwing themselves into personal risk and death, in order to save us.
