videosift.com vs. www.videosift.com
Hi, I usually use http://videosift.com and I am logged in, but I notice sometimes the links in the Web site takes me to http://www.videosift.com like http://www.videosift.com/blog ... Obviously, my cookies think I am not logged in because of "www" part.
Is it supposed to have videosift.com redirect to www.videosift.com (add the www. part)?

It's a little cookie bug Ant. It should redirect. Let me see if we can fix it.
BTW, I am using Mozilla v1.7.13 (not Firefox) in Windows XP Pro. SP2 and Linux/Debian. I reproduce this on multiple computers (three).

This looks like a problem with the cookie code, from my research, cookies require a three part address like www + videosift + com
Does anyone have experience with getting cookies to work without the "www" I'm sure there is a way, but my googling is failing me.
i wonder if setting your HOSTS file with a DNS/DNS entry rather than a DNS/IP entry would work.
Cookies don't necessarily require www + videosift + com (as evidenced by your Urchin Tracking Module cookies which are set for just videosift + com.)
The problem is that mnm_key and mnm_user are set explicitly for www.videosift.com, which is why the browser won't send them with requests to just http://videosift.com. If you change your cookie setting code to set the host to videosift.com, cookies will be recognized by *.videosift.com
If doing so is arduous in pligg and you have access to your apache config, you could just redirect videosift.com to www.videosift.com using mod_rewrite.

Thanks Hamfist. I'll give that a try.
Is it fixed yet? I am still having problems.

Not yet. I might have to try the mod_rewrite to fix it.
Hint:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^videosift.com$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.videosift.com/$1 [R=301,L]

Thanks HamFist - that did the trick!
That worked nicely.
mod_rewrite deserves the credit for this one
