Are you interested in taking over the Eia channel? Or is anyone else? In any event, that's what it would take.

Okay, technically speaking, the admins could rename it the Bunniesfartingrainbows channel if they felt like it, and who could stop them? However I think they're not so mad with power that they feel like dickslapping us like that. Therefore I think they're going to stick with the status quo until someone steps forward to pilot the Eia channel into new territory, possibly.

Right now I see Eia being up for grabs. Karaidl hasn't been here for almost a year now, so therefore Eia should go on the auction block, and let the highest-ranked bidder take it over. If he or she wishes to rename and/or redefine it at that time, well such is his (or her) prerogative. Until then, I think it should remain unscathed.

At least that's what we, i.e., I, think.

Perhaps there should be a broad sifttalk about abandoned/neglected. There are some fine channels created and some exemplary Channel moderators who do a great job. I'm sure we can learn from both and raise the bar for all channels and take some load off others.

Perhaps it would help to have a sort of roundtable about overall channel direction? Maybe start with a sort of Report card? Recognize the exemplary moderators, assess the state of these channels?

And take a review of the intention for having channels, if they are meeting it, and what options are possible. I don't think this is well known.

Because let's face it, bad channels look bad for VideoSift.

I agree that fail would be better than eia, focusing more on stupidity than 'Darwin Awards' contenders.

I like eia as it is. "Fail" can cover different stuff and is after all a meme which fits nicely into the meme channel.

I like the idea of *fail instead of *eia. Most of the videos in *eia are technically *fail's or they wouldn't be allowed here.

I don't know what it takes to change the name of a channel, I don't think it's been done before.
