Also, we have made a concerted effort to remove a TON of the junk ads from the listing service. By these I mean scantily clad women, and free <insert rebate / electronic device / trip to Cancun here>. We have no doubt missed some so if you happen to see any please let us know and we will pull them.

In a perfect world it wouldn't have come to this but the sift is a lot of work, and we hope you guys understand that we just want to be able to keep doing it.

james, no worries man. if i'm the only one, keep it in. at least it's not one of those flashing-two-color-stars-everywhere kind of ad. i hate intrusive advertising altogether, so my opinion is rather biased.

excellent work though on choosing the ads you are displaying. i haven't seen a fleshlight or dating site yet. and for the most part, they seem somewhat related to community/tech/video.

How does it work? Do you get kickbacks if we click on the ad, or just if we view it?

If you get it for clicks, we should all make sure we have clicky-clicky time. It's the least we can do as a "thank you" for taking such good care of the site. Well, a "thank you" from the members who opt for buying gas instead of memberships....

Fairly warned be thee says I: encouraging people to click on ads is a way to be insta-banned from some ad services (such as Google's ad service), so careful what you say, depending on the service you're involved in.

Make sure you browse ads with your referrer turned on. I always have mine off, but when I view ads I turn it on.

I didnt see the ads til a few hours ago... and I still can't see them! Just got a link to 'remove all ads', which I dont have.
