What Amazon Products Have You Purchased Through VideoSift?
I just made my first three purchases yesterday. I started by finding any posts related to what I wanted to buy and if they didn't exist yet, I added the necessary post. Then I added the Amazon items I wanted, clicked through, and checked out.
It was really a pretty neat experience to see how this thing all flows together. So, what have you bought lately? Or if you haven't, what do you plan on purchasing?
My first three were via these posts:

I made 3 more purchases from this post (which I killed after I was done :
Bunch of New Computer Parts for this Guy's Gaming Rig

If you don't want to deal with the hassle of having to find/add items to VideoSift before buying, we've added a a special link directly to Amazon's front page for you to do your shopping as usual that will still help support VideoSift with any of your purchases. This special link is available at the top of http://amazon.videosift.com and the item listings displayed on videos and other posts.

My first three were via these posts:

- Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino" (Trailer)
- Punisher: War Zone - Trailer

I bought "The Singularity is Near" by Ray Kurzweil and "Do Polar Bear Get Lonely and 101 other intriguing science questions" from New Scientist. Sadly I bought these just a few days before the amazon thing was implemented. My next buy will be through the Sift for sure.
My keeper (wife) says I'm not allowed to shop the internet...
(actualy I support her in this...
Just as well though, once I get started, I don't think I would ever stop!
I collect toys and that would just open a flood gate of "I want, I want - I need, I need!"
Maybe once we get some of those pesky credit cards paid off....
What? Man, I missed a big upgrade! Someone pm me. I buy Amazon stuff all the time btw..
Nothing yet, though I might when some dosh comes in. Problem is I buy from amazon.co.uk, not the American site.
Yeah, that does seem to be a problem. The few amazon.co.uk item IDs I've researched aren't valid at amazon.com, and I don't know if there's a workaround.
Where've you been swampgirl, like having a life or something?! Nice to see you back here, where you belong.
You came out with this feature just days after I bought a bunch of stuff from Amazon. I bought two games, 2 Blu-Rays, a Blu-Ray player for my folks, and some other shit. Get ahead of the curve, will ya!
As soon as I need to buy something else, I promise to do it through VS. I'm actually excited to try it out.
None for me.
I bet if they sold downvotes on Amazon, ant would be the top buyer.
FYI, amazon.co.uk and amazon.de are now available: http://www.videosift.com/talk/Shopping-at-Amazon-co-uk-and-Amazon-de
Given the desire to maximise returns from this initiative would it be a good idea to have a Store tab as part of the main navigation?
From there one could buy power points, do some Amazon shopping, upgrade to Charter and anything else that might be on sale now or in the future.
I just bought Megadeth's "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying" CD after I determined that I no longer had my original copy. That's what happens when you have a stoner friend who never returns anything.
