Start YouTube Videos At Specific Time: UPDATE
A while back @doogle posted this helpful information about how to start YouTube videos at specific times. Now, in an effort to confuse YouTubers even more (just try to find a playlist embed code these days), they have changed the way you code the start times in the embed code. Please read the following example.
Let's say you want to start a YouTube video at the 2:20 mark. That would be 140 sec, so do this:
Basically all YouTube did was change the ampersand code - & - to a semicolon - ;
Don't ask me why they did this, but they did. Thought you all might like to know.

You add:
;start=140

I'm sure you can still use ampersands as your delimiters if you wish. Stop scaring everybody, KP!
Have your tried it using the old method (with & ) with new YouTube embeds (that use ; )? It won't work unless you use ; now. I found that out when fixing the embed for this video. When adjusting the start time to eliminate the unnecessary intro that someone else had added, I noticed that the ampersand code was no longer before fs=1. Nonetheless I still tried using the ampersand after it, but I checked to make sure it would work by trying to submit it as a new video first, just to see if the new start time would work, and it didn't. So that's why I was forced to use the ; instead.
But don't take my word for it. Try it out yourself.

You're probably right. I wonder if all delimiters need to be consistent.
But don't lick my balls for it. Try it on yourself.

I take it back, it seems to be working now with the ampersand. I swear it wasn't working yesterday though. I'm NOT crazy, you motherfucker! >> ^blankfist:

Who knows what's going on with YouTube these days? The definitely did change from the ampersand to the semicolon recently, so maybe they haven't worked out all the bugs yet. I don't know.
I still use the ampersand!
So you can start but not stop ? That is not very helpful. I do not accept that by now there is not a start stop code.
yay or nay ?
