Great idea LadyBug! I know we had the random chat room previously, but I never really used it! Another area for random rants of a Sift (or other) nature sounds good to me...Let me know if you need a hand with anything (like serving coffee!)

well looks like it's a 'go'!! i hoped this would be the overall consensus, but you know when you plan a party you get nervous that no one is going to show up?? that's how i've been feeling today!!! lol

this forum will be what we make of it ... ideas i have floating in my head are: 2 initial forums: general & current events (we can add more as we evolve), gallery, chat room ... just flying by the seat of my pants at the moment though! lol

My suggestion is that there be an option to have poll threads. There are Sift challenge ideas that I think would work great in the Coffee House.

Are we talking about multiple threads on different subjects (like a regular forum) Or just a weekly sifttalk (open thread) that will get very long very quickly.

Dag, I think you do need to expand the sifttalk / forum a little bit, to have more than just one page and one type of sticky.

I think I've mentioned before we need on category for bugs/suggestions/ VS stuff. One for announcements/news/youtube news/ etc. One for check this out stuff. One for social chit-chat, random thoughts. One for contraversies like Jew/Arab, atheist/evangelicals, QM/everyone else, etc.

So, I'm guessing this will be another tab, like SiftTalk / CoffeeCorner / Playlists /etc.
That would be good, and welcome addition. I wonder if this will be regular standard forum? Or like another SiftTalk?

actually joe, this is an 'unofficial VS forum' ... and much like what you just described.

i've purchased a domain name for it and am currently in the process of formatting the board as we speak (type). there will be polls available and threads will consist of whatever people want to chat about.

there will be a permanent link to videosift and will complement it just nicely. i'm really looking forward to it as well!

I agree, we need categories for Sift Talk. Of course, I set my posts per page to "30", so things don't slide off the front as quickly as they used to.
