Scheduled Downtime 3PM Today (PDT)

At about 12pm 3pm Pacific time we will be taking the Sift offline for a few minutes while our database server is worked on. This work will, with any hope, stop the unexpected breakdowns of late.

It should only be a couple of minutes, so we hope to see you on the other side. In the mean time you can always spend some time at Scrape Up or the VaroCMS Demo.

[edit]
The downage has been pushed back to 3pm due to a ridiculous communication error.

It better be up and working after 2:30 PM PDT while I am on my hour lunch break. I want to watch streaming videos! I need my VS (think of MTV slogan))!

We're back online. It was an uneventful downage with a little chat for under a half hour.

Good news is some hardware was replaced. Bad news is it didn't seem to fix the problem we've been having.

I blame Microsoft. Yeah, we're on a Linux server, but still.

Oh, actually, nothing at all. I was just blaming Microsoft. They have to be at least partially at fault for everything.

While people were blaming the quake I was blaming Microsoft because, come on people, who do you think caused the quake? Don't be naive.

Can't we just blame SiftBot?
