Quick video submission check
Not sure if this has been discussed before, but would it be possible to add a quick check for a video URL before entering in all kinds of finely crafted tags and title for it? Possibly the submission process could be in two steps, first enter the video embed code, submit, and then if it hasn't been submitted before, enter the tags. It would be nice not to have to spend the time writing everything in to something that turns out to be a duplicate!
P.S. 1stTube has a shiny new avatar!

That's actually one of my pet peeves with VideoSift
it does have a shiny new avatar... nice too, even more retro... I like!

When is the big unveiling of the new Sift?
I do a search before posting and sometimes don't get anything...then after you go through the posting process to find it's a dupe...well..that's no fun is it?
I'm sure the VS 3 will have some love for that

This is actually a feature in v3.0. An Ajax button is below the embed code box that will validate the code for syntax and duplication (without reloading the page).

No date for the release yet, but we're getting closer every day.
Yea, we're getting there. It'd be a lot faster if Lucky wouldn't insist on trivial luxuries like employment and marriage.
(Just tell her you love VideSift more! You know it's true...)
Wow, sounds like v3.0 is going to answer all of our hopes and prayers, and then some. Can't wait!![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)

Finally an answer to the question - What would Jesus sift?
Here here! I asked for this before. Glad to hear it'll be in future releases..sweet!
I second that motion. I wish VS would look for a dup before I hit submit.
