Mobile VideoSift Now Available on Droids and iPhones
We sort of mentioned it in passing a little while back, but it's worth mentioning that we have launched a mobile version of The Sift for your handheld/mobile devices. The first time you visit (with most devices) it will auto-detect that you're on a handheld and redirect you to the mobile version. Or you can just type in the address yourself:
It's a very slimmed down version of VS with just the bare essentials (videos, logging in, and commenting) so that you can still have a very fast-paced VideoSift experience when you're on the go.
Below are a couple of photos of some mobile devices in action. (As an aside, it's really interesting seeing them side-by-side to note the difference in screen size and quality between the Droid and iPhone/iPod Touch.)
Motorola Droid:

Apple iPod Touch (note the marks from rubber bands used to attempt to lessen the slipperiness

I don't see the pictures. Other than that, excellent. This is what videosift has been needing for a while.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)
I saw this a couple days ago when I jumped on VS from my phone. Then it was gone again. Very snazzy.
Sweet! That'll be much easier to access on my phone!![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)

Plus one of my vids is in the screen cap!
Ah, the pictures are stored on bayimg. That's blocked in denmark and sweden along with thepiratebay.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/frown.gif)

I've been enjoying this very much. Thanks!
Very nice. Thank you!
Just noticed this a few days ago and was quite happy to find it. Thanks a zillion for the hard work guys!
If anyone is wondering, it's a no-go on Blackberry.
Not that anyone suggested it would work, it clearly says Android and iPhone above, but figured I'd give it a shot.
What's the problem with it on Blackberry? There really shouldn't be a problem with it, but I don't have a Blackberry, so I can't check it out myself.
It's very modern and nice, but if, for example, I enter the URL of my queued videos page on my mobile browser, I'd prefer to see that page open right away, preferrably in m.videosift format. At the moment however I have to click on "View VS in FULL" at the botton of the page every time I open VS anew from my mobile![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/oops.gif)
It should only auto-redirect you one time. Do you have cookies disabled on your device? What device is it?
Hey, Lucky! Awesome work on this! I know that you have the "View VS in full" link on the mobile page - any chance you can put a "View mobile VideoSift" in the bottom footer of the normal page, so I can flip back and forth without having to clear my cache?
Thanks!
Works great on my Nokia E71!
Nice one!

Done.
Did you ever make one for the Crapberry?
