There's no rules against this, if that's what you mean.

I almost always vote these sorts of things down. I do not come here for streaming radio or slide shows. That's just my personal preferences, though.

There have been rare exceptions where something is really spectacular despite not being a video, but I'd be surprised if I've given a pass to even 3 of those in all my time here.

Technically it's a video - as it's encoded that way. Whether it's a video for VideoSift's purposes is up for debate. We've never had a definite rule on this. Might be a good one for a poll. Personally I don't mind them, but I know some people do.

Anyone thats anyone has sifted an audiosift.

imho, audiosifts should either get a special invocation and place on the sift (maybe the easy/obvious solution would be an audiosift channel and the rule would be audiosifts can't be in any other channel) or should be banned.

If people don't like audiosifts, they can downvote them.

I prefer to find an accompanying music video with the music, but if it's not available, I go with the audiosift.

I find a lot of good musical artists to follow by the music posted on here by other members.

I had no idea there was such passion over audiosifts.

There is so much dreck in the Sift. A handful of audiosifts mixed in doesn't seem to be a big problem, if someone really likes the music. I know some folks play vids as background without even looking at the pictures.

No harm, no foul, it seems to me.
