Been a long time coming, but I've had all I can stands 'cuz I can't stands no more.
If you are a part of #gamergate, YOU ARE WHAT'S WRONG WITH GAMING.
I've been playing computer games for nearly 30 years. They are THE new artistic medium, and if you don't accept that you are the Luddite screaming that these new fanged moving pictures are the devil.
But I am ashamed to be even tangentially associated with this now. What the fuck is wrong with you people?

So frankly, fuck you all. I am more than happy to label myself an "SJW" (in the twisted bizarro world we inhabit where "Social Justice" is a pejorative), and quite frankly, if you want to threaten someone with death, rape, or worse? You're a fucking coward.
But the saddest part is the affirmation form Utah State that the second amendment trumps the First.

speechless says...I don't know much about this particular issue, but Ive seen people threaten rape and murder over soup recipes on youtube, so maybe there's a bigger problem.

@speechless, this goes way beyond your average internet trolling. There have been specific threats made against people, including posting their addresses on twitter and then saying "I know where you live and I'm coming to get you" etc.
The worst part is that story from the link. This asshole threatened "the worst school shooting in American history" and he got what he wanted.

Oh, and just in case anyone brings up the "ethics in games journalism" thing... even if gamergate ever was about that (which I don't believe for a second), it's certainly not now, and supporting it is akin to supporting the Nazis because of their stellar public transport....
