Filtering Viewed Videos in the Queueueueue

When viewing videos in the Unsifted section, theres a lot of videos that I don't want to vote up or down, but would still like to filter using the "hide videos you have voted on" option. So I'm thinking something like this. This way we can clear out the 40 or 50 videos that we don't want to vote on, and clean up the Unsifted pages a little bit.

I like. But I think I'd rather have a separate check box just so I don't have to click a million things, or maybe the existing box does it for you.
That would also avoid screen clutter.

Right. I just don't want to have to click on every video I've viewed. I want Sifty to hide them for me. Lazy shit sits around all day jacking-on to Popular Science all day anyway. It'll give him something to do.

Ok how about this then: that same "hide" option automatically hides the videos if the filter is on.

We could also have another filter that hides all videos you've seen. evidently this has been suggested in the past.

Ad nauseam - probably second only to a merge invocation. Apparently there is something technically very difficult about implementing the "hide videos you have viewed". The 'abstain' button also has been suggested just as often and shot down as many times.

I think either of these would be the single biggest improvement to the site possible.

I do believe an idea of having something that would block videos you don't want to see, and what you suggest would help some people try to clear up some videos they don't want to see...

I wonder though if I had any part of it...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

Definitely maybe- depending on what Lucky says about the technical side. Some things we have to put to the side, because the query that would produce the list puts too much of a strain on our poor database.

Something like this has been suggested several times before and the technical issues have always been our hinderance.

However, as time has passed, we have incorporated different components that would make something similar possible. Instead of having an additional (and cluttering) link to click, we can simply add to the sidebar options something like "hide videos I have viewed."

I'll see that it gets implemented before too long.

Added!

awesome lucky - you know how much I've wanted this.

one problem, though - the preference is not sticking. If I click the "hide videos you have viewed" option and then the go button it works, but if I then click the unsifted tab, it reverts to "hide none".
