Failed attempt at the barred practice of siftquisitions
Fjnbk proposed an ad hoc siftquisition of westy by using a poll. Currently over 90% of voters said NO (not counting abstains). Should Fjnbk be hobbled/reprimanded for his backdoor siftquisition?

burdturglerI don't know how you do math, but I see 34 votes in favor of some form of action being taken against him and 29 against any action being taken (not counting abstains). So maybe you should get hobbled for asking for a hobble of someone who shouldn't get hobbled.

34 people want some form of action. That is split up between temp/perm banned, reprimanded or hobbled.

He didn't just "propose that westy be banned". If it was just a yes or no poll there wouldn't be 5 choices.

randomizeI think what joedirt means is that since he is ALREADY HOBBLED then those votes for hobbling him are not votes for him to leave. There are 6 votes for him to perma/tempo banned. The votes towards his hobbling count as stays because he would just have his period of hobbling extended.

Call me crazy but here in Americaland if I get arrested about something and then prove I'm innocent the cop that arrested me, the detective that thought it was me, the prosecutor that prosecuted me, and the judge that sentenced me don't ever suffer.
At most you get some money from the state to recoup your losses, that's it. So I fail to see how punishing someone for their version of the truth helps anyone. No two people view things the same, there shouldn't be any punishment for starting something like this.
In my opinion it should be treated like a murder trial. Once someone has siftquisitioned or poll'd you whatever, you shouldn't be able to have that brought up against you again for a long time.

FjnbkUmm... I wasn't running a Siftquisition at all. Notice that I expressed no opinion whatsoever on the matter. I just felt that a poll could provide a simpler and faster gauge of public opinion on westy. Hobble me if you want, but I just thought of it as a poll, nothing more.
