Can't see embedded videos in Mozilla's Web browsers?
Hello!
I recently submitted these two:
http://www.videosift.com/video/Cylon-Toaster-Makes-Frakkin-Awesome-Toast
http://www.videosift.com/video/The-100-Best-Videos-Of-2009-In-135-Seconds
Somehow embedded videos do not show up. If I don't use valdiator, preview shows it OK. If I submit OR valdiate with preview, then no show.
What's up? Thank you in advance.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/smile.gif)

They're showing up for me.

Interesting. No show for me in SeaMonkey v2.0.1 even if I disable AdBlock Plus, enable referrers, and disabled FlashBlock.
IE7 worked though. Anyone else having problems?
I can not see them in Firefox 3.5.6 but I can watch them in Opera 10.10
Something is odd then. Mozilla's SeaMonkey uses the same Gecko engines as Firefoxes.
http://www.videosift.com/video/Nifty-lighter-tricks is not mine, but it is not showing up in both Mozilla's SeaMonkey v2.0.1 and old Firefox v2.0.0.20 on my home system like my office's machine.
IE6 was fine. Something is wrong with Mozilla browsers on here!! ![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/frown.gif)

Hmm, I'm having problems with it in FF now too. Hmm - we'll look into it.

Thanks. Were you using FF earlier when it worked too?
The embed code seems to have no <embed> tag. Can you paste the original embed code you used?

My two videos' descriptions have original links where I found them. They will have the original embed codes.
The embed validation process sets a specific classid for the embed, which is only neccessary for YouTube embeds and apparently breaks embeds such as the ones posted by ant.

FireFox 2.0? IE6? Did you finally get that time machine running?
Good call, cdm. Fixed.

Firefox v2.0.0.20 was from XeroBank browser which haven't updated its Web browser yet so I just use its Firefox. I rarely use it.
As for IE6, MS still supports it and I mostly use it for MS Updates and once in a while, problematic Web sites.

Interesting and thanks.

Is it possible to reset the timers on them, Dag/Lucky760?
Good call, cdm. Fixed.
Hurray! Thank you guys!
I wonder how many votes I missed from this bug.
Ant, discard and queue a new one is the best way to do that.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/wink.gif)
