Something weird happens when U look at fake bugs in mirror
Note it’s not just the reflection, but the direct viewpoint also switches/remains stable while rotating.
It’s making use of 3 dimensions viewed in only 2 dimensions to pull off the trick. I like these viewpoint dependent “illusions”. They are getting more intricate thanks to AI…I’m still impressed by the Escher impossible shape static sculptures.
Looks like this backfired on the media
Ancestral ties to slaveholders have been documented previously for a handful of leaders, including Biden, Obama and McConnell.

RC Rock Crawler Sumo
I’ve had a few, from the ubiquitous grasshopper to a racing Kyoto 4wd. I remember the old speed controllers not being good at minimum power…a tiny bit of stick and you would hear the controller whine but no movement, a bit more it would shudder a bit but not move, a bit more and it would suddenly jump forward a few inches before I could pull power back to crawl. Tiny precise movement was difficult, at least for me. That was also over 30 years back.
Granted, I was known for only having two throttle positions in my RC driving repertoire…full off (and breaking) or full throttle. My full size off road racing style was similar.
I still think the transition from static to in motion is hard to control at those scales (maybe electronics can overcome that now), and it’s easy to overshoot the needed power, especially in the heat of battle.
I don't remember the model my brothers & I had anymore, as it was like over 3 decades ago, but they were analog Tamiyas. In addition to being analog sticks, there were sliders that I can fine tune acceleration limits on every axis (can control helicopters too). And that was then. Can't imagine entering these competition without these type of advanced controls with if you have a in-it-to-win-it mentality.

You simply deny any source that isn’t far right propaganda lies, so why should I bother. Even straight up .gov statistics have been discarded by you if you don’t like them.
I linked a source. You can type “google” too, right? Or is it banned in Russia, comrade? How about the DA? Police? Court records? All agree, all say the same thing, so must all be fake hit pieces.
You utter moron. I think your IQ is well below my dogs. They at least learn quickly that I’m always protecting them, always steering them in the right direction, even when it’s uncomfortable for them. You would be left to burn in the barn, insisting it’s fake fire and trying to bite.
Yes, you earn an “S” for stupid…as usual. The best grade you’ve earned in your life.

Prove me right and go silent or discount all 4. I know you have no choice as they prove my position conclusively and prove you 100% wrong.
LA Times isn't a neutral paper -- Just a liberal rag.
I read the story but where is his actual post.
Just fake news unless its source is linked.
Just another fake news hit piece.

Russian soldier caught with his pants down
Is that an intentional miss, or? The payload seems very light or not weighted for a more controlled vertical drop. Besides, looking at the rather static foliage, wind speed seems minimal. Seems like the drop is just meant to - or barely just powerful enough - to scare and not kill.
Amazing New Japanese Hanabi Fireworks
Ok, maybe slightly, but certainly not as it was presented here.
Even a static filter is CGI…it’s a computer (phone) filter generating an image. It’s exactly what I think of when I think of “effects” for digital photography or videos….what does it mean to you? Since it’s “computer” drawn moving images, it’s animation, no?
Why? Art.
Why would Van Gogh paint swirling stars in “starry night”?
Why would Cyriak dismember a million digital sheep to reform them into nightmare creatures?
the original title is misleading and this isn't "CGI" or "FX" or animation in any meaningful way. it's a static filter. all that adds up to a very strange thing to post. i'm just confused why anyone would make this.

Hmmmm….
The tags are “cgi” and “fx”. Channels include animation.
Also, do you really think they had kaiju rides?
I thought I was pretty clear this wasn’t real.
As to the point…I thought it was pretty.
America really flew the U-2 spy plane off aircraft carriers
The U2 required more than a mile of runway to land and it was not just about slowing down, it was actually very difficult to navigate to a (static) runway.
I have no clue why anyone would think a U2 could land on a carrier.
I see no reason why it could not take off from a carrier.

Here's a common flu virus

---------------
We have a lot
a WHOLE LOT< < < < < < < < < < < < < of experience fighting viruses that are corona types. We KNOW how to make good vaccines for coronaviruses.
---------------
And you're just wrong about being forced to be vaccinated
"It is within the police power of a State to enact a compulsory vaccination law"
AND furthermore
https://casetext.com/case/matter-of-viemeister-v-white
"independently of any specific menace of disease, a regulation excluding unvaccinated children from the public schools is reasonable, valid and constitutional."
"the case also highlighted that claims of vaccines harms, when the majority of scientists disagree, would not be enough to lead the court to overrule the legislature. "
And i'm pretty sure most scientists agree, but even if they didn't, no, it's not just your choice. The fact is, your health affects the people around you. It's not just you looking out or not looking out for your own best interests.
ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Even if I think you're an asshole and want you to stop spreading your non-fact-based-rhetoric around, if there's one less person who can get sick and spread covid, we're all better off. Don't mistake me. I'd be happier if you shut the fuck up a lot more. But I don't want you to die. It's like talking to my trump 2024 father over here. Get vaccinated already dumbass.
p.s.
Why aren't you concerned about fiscal matters here? It costs the gov more to let someone become hospitalized than a it costs to vaccinate them. Aren't you worried about all that wasted spending?
The Freak Out is from the Democrats spreading fake covid fear and demanding you get the shot or else be punished in some for or fashion.
Get it or don't get it it is YOUR choice.
Wasting tax dollars to know on doors is foolish.

Traveling Downwind Faster Than Windspeed
The best way I could think of to look at this is that the vehicle has very little mechanical drag so it accelerates to the speed of the wind, at which point it becomes static with respect to the wind speed, but the ground is essentially running back under it rotating the wheels ant thereby the propeller.
It still seems very counter-intuitive, unless there is a lot of inertia involved, that this would work so well.
We Still Don’t Know How Bicycles Work
I must disagree.
First, it's precession, not procession, paired with the "caster effect" and static friction. It's a self correcting system that only works when in forward motion.
This nonsense with counter rotating wheels countering the gyroscopic effect ignores the fact that only the forward rotating wheels are using friction to direct the path of the bicycle based on their angles. It's not JUST the gyroscopic effect, that only determines the resistance to angular change, it's friction directed by gyroscopic precession and the self correcting caster effect. Come on.
Nobody knows how we ride bikes?! (A different claim from we don't know why they can remain upright when ghost ridden) Nonsense, it's balance plain and simple. If you don't keep the center of gravity exactly above the contact points with the ground, you tilt. When the centrifugal force exceeds static friction of the tires you slide out or when gravity exceeds the opposing centrifugal force caused by turning, you fall. Try turning your bike but staying exactly upright, no lean. Now, when you heal, try leaning without turning, lock the wheel straight, you'll fall again. It's multiple forces in concert.
I think a decent physics teacher would wipe the floor with this. It ignores so much to make these "we just don't know" claims.
The Chaotic Pendulum
I'd call it a complex pendulum. Except that it seems to fall to a static state within seconds, right after he cuts the video in each clip.
NASA Maven Mars Orbiter explained VS. Spiderverse animation
Interesting.
Why can't we use hydrogen balloons to put instruments at the right levels above earth, I wonder?
Do they think the static fluctuations, including the rifts, can be attributed to the almost total lack of atmosphere, or the lack of magnetic field on MARS, or something else?
Maybe I should read the NASA release.....nope, no answers there, only a near verbatim transcript of the narration.

Mad Max: Fury Road without CGI
CGI is at it's best when it just adds or subtracts details and static items.
If Stranger Things was an 80s Anime
But... nothing in the 80s looked like that. Late 90s maybe. I suppose there were feature films that looked this good, but no tv shows of which I'm aware.
If it were 80s anime there would be a lot of static shots where only the mouths were moving. This full-body animation w/ moving scenery takes way too much work.
