and unlike everyone else, i am allowed to comment on this matter.
because i'm the father.
very brave of the republicans, finally dropping all that baggage about being the party of 'family values'. embrace diversity!
we're discussing names now, btw.
i'm kind of liking the sound of the name 'Vetted'. i think it's dutch.
I like how Pro-Life groups are gathering around cheering they are keeping the baby. THEY ARE A RICH WHITE FAMILY! Lets see them try to convince a poor family that cant make ends meet as it is.
I just sharted over that one, dag. Thanks.

I just finished watching Palin's speech and I feel ... angry. I can't believe the way people were lapping this up.
Zealous McCain, Obama, and independent supporters drive me insane.
But Zealous McCain people who have no valid arguments causes me to leave a room.
The amount of racism involved in many republican views seems to be seeping into every conversation I have with the McCain people.
I cannot talk to people who think that any one is less than human.
On Sarah Failin, she is tactical mistake by McCain.
She is a shill. Got damn if he gets elected, Ill take Obama before I take another four years of republican lies. But I will not support Democratic lies, either.
Dag any one that follows any politician blindly like we see in the conventions are sheeple. I try to stay neutral, but the republican stance is getting stupid.
When the things fall on the lines, the real colors of people are shown. We can see exactly how these people are.

Maybe I do lap up the Obama stuff ... maybe I do ...
I just can't help feeling this is a fight of good against evil.
She's like the smarmy preacher's wife, just drives me nuts.

I feel the same way.
I bet that if McCain gets elected, the first thing he's going to do is get rid of Palin.

^That's an interesting idea, at the very least she will be shoved aside and given a few pet projects. She does not share John McCain's real values. He's completely pandering and working to manipulate the evangelical base.
It's a very cynical move that sadly may work.
I sense the touch of an evil mastermind like Rove all over this.
Don't worry, Palin's speech just ensured that she will be relegated to the dust heap of history.
None of the most famous speeches in American history have been negative. They may have mentioned bad things or had a bleak tone, but they all have that feeling of optimism, that quintessential American optimism.
Palin's speech was completely made of sardonic smears on Obama, when she wasn't babbling on about her family (by the way, she was the first person to make her family a campaign issue).
This speech can only become infamous like the Culture War speech Buchanan gave in 1992. Remember who won that election?
I'm not sure if she is a tactical error. These Pro-Choice/Life debates seem to come up every election and every election the Republican candidates have promised that in this upcoming turn Roe v Wade will be overturned and so far it has yet too. This is all orchestrated to motivate the core conservative voters, because there are people who will vote solely based on knowing the candidates support a Pro-Life agenda regardless if they act upon it. For this reason they want this debate to be an issues during election times. It distracts people from focusing on important issues that should be debated rather than spouted rhetoric. For this reason Palin is a "good" choice because she is someone who is only going to impassion her constituency further. How does a 65 year old man debate a 44 year old woman who has a child with down syndrome without coming off insensitive. Having a pregnant teen daughter simply will add to her resolve.
I'm not saying any of this is right or that I support it, but the more Palin is "attacked" or merely the focus because of her daughters pregnancy/abortion issues in general the more it helps their overall campaign.
