Fairbssays...

I read somewhere that there's a difference in the tastebuds of men and women that makes whiskey more palatable to men. Something about mens tastebuds not being as affected by the bold flavor. I'm pretty sure I cringed as bad as these women after my first shot. Even now it can give me the willies sometimes.

"Not as bad as Vodka"?! wtf, Vodka is about the cleanest hard-liquor you can get....

Anyway, Jack Daniels should NOT be considered whiskey in the first place. Shitty American trash. Give me a Glenmorangie or Macallan any day.

Sagemindsays...

Whiskey is straight-up poison as far as I'm concerned.
It's like it's only point is to get you drunk - there is no pleasure in drinking it.

Fusionautsays...

When I convinced my wife to try some scotch whisky I recommended that she took a sip and then let the whisky roll around her tongue. She took a BIG sip, swished it around her mouth like mouthwash, and then almost threw up. It took a while to convince her to try it again...

Too sweet for my taste.

And @Sagemind, you couldn't be further from the truth. If getting drunk is your aim, whiskey is one of the most expensive ways of doing that.

As for the video, I'm torn. On one hand, whiskey! and women! I like those things.

On the other hand.... ugh buzzfeed. fuck those guys.

edit: and I've just watched it... sorry @lv_hunter, but that was terrible.
They couldn't have tried more than just JD? No Scotch single malts? No Irish blends?

Kentucky bourbon people, bourbon.

eh, its buzzfeed. Most likely their target audience are white american youths, who would know JD.

I had a friend who hanging out at someones house. they were passing around a sipping scotch, i don't know what brand, but it was supposedly expensive and could peel paint with a splash it was so strong. They ran out of sipping glasses, so they poured his in a normal shot glass. He didn't know better and shot the thing in front of them all. They all gasped and said "NO!! DON'T SHOT IT!" lol he said it was the most excruciating sensation ever had drinking something. everyone had a good laugh after it.

But then Buzzfeed couldn't have done its "native advertising" of Jack Daniels and Canada Dry. Didn't even hit me until I clicked through to "Americans Eating Sushi" and, surprise, there's the ginger ale again. I know it's just entertainment, but do we really need product placement in Buzzfeed videos?

they should have busted out a bottle of some cask strength super peaty islay like laphroaig or ardbeg.
