Tim Burton's Dark Shadows Trailer HD

First official trailer for the Tim Burton-directed, Seth Grahame-Smith-penned big-screen adaption of cult TV show Dark Shadows.

Synopsis:

In 1752, the Collins family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, Barnabas (Johnny Depp), grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and is the master of Collinwood Manor. He breaks the heart of a witch, Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green), who turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. In 1972, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his coffin and returns to find his once-magnificent manor in ruin. It is occupied by dysfunctional Collins descendants and other residents, all of whom have secrets.

The film, which also stars Helena Bonham Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Lee Miller, Chloƫ Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, and Jackie Earle Haley, is set to open wide May 11th.

Last original film Tim Burton directed? Seriously, what was it? Beetlejuice?

This one does look awful, but it looks trailer awful. You know, when they have a trailer that looks like every other rubbish trailer and doesn't really represent the film?

Draxsays...

Yeah, I agree.. I can't tell if this is good or not. I also can't figure out how this ties in with the old soap opera. ...having just typed that, I remember now the show came back to TV more recently for a brief run. Was that any good? Was it a comedy...?

Last Tim Burton movie that I enjoyed was Sleepy Hollow. Though I never saw Big Fish (looked neat).

Looks like another crappy remake by Tim Burton. Ruined Planet of the Apes. Ruined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Ruined Alice in Wonderland. Next…

I really don't think he ruined Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it was very close to the characters and storyline of the book, the first one was more an adaptation
