Spelling Bee Winner - Hes a tough interview

A very tough interview. I think that home schooling may have some effect on his social skills.

well realy the woman asks the most stupid questoins that are typical of the news midea maby if the woman asked some clever questoins he would have responded. i think grownups should emulate this kid when interviewed and that way the news would have to get better

"I'm sure homeschooling didn't help."

Where in the hell did this backwards perception of homeschooling come from? Do people really think that homeschooling means that kids are locked in the basement? Unless you are living out in the boonies, most homeschooled kids are both learning at home and out at homeschool events several times a week.

Video is still great, though.

Homeschooling should be forbidden except in cases where the kids live in someplace so remote, that going to school is an impossibility.
Going to school is an important social learning tool.
PERIOD.

Period, huh?? Well, well, public schools have certainly done a wonderful job teaching someone in their perception-booth empire, some shining social skills, and socialism can of course, only come from a quality public education-mill.....

Wish going to public school in the U.S., was as rare as the stunted-brained primates that she gives the planet.....How do you spell, Metagnostic???

betamaxxsays...

i think this kid seems smug and douchebaggy. yes does lack social skills to the fullest extent, but damn his attitude is just bad. no matter how cheesy that morning show is, they're just trying to be nice to the kid and celebrate his spelling prowess.

budzossays...

If the kid were actually autistic he would be a hell of a lot worse interview than this. This is just a really bright, sheltered kid. Just because you have deep interests and cannot adapt easily to vaccuous and superficial banter does not mean you are autistic.
