Candide Thovex is already a sports legend at the age of 35. His favorite discipline: Freeriding - that is, skiing in the open air off the standard piste. As part of a collaboration with Audi, the native Frenchman has been looking for new spectacular slopes worldwide in recent months. If you expect snow-covered landscapes, you will be surprised.

On the pumice slope you can practically see his skis getting thinner.

How much of that is real and how much is video editing? It would be hard to imagine he got permission to damage culturally significant sites.
