I do volunteer projects often that are joined by the Americorps because they're always looking for opportunities to do community service. The average Americorps member is a 20 year old girl. Yes, girls outnumber guys in the Americorps by 3 to 1.

So, this is Obama's army? Don't get me wrong, the prospect of scores of women on the war path sends shivers down my spine. Still, I've never met an Americorps member who struck me as particularly eager to overthrow anything.

I genuinely hate these people. I am not a "hater" by temperment. I am one of those liberals who can see both sides of everything.

I can't abide what I see as the motivation behind this far right crap.

I will say I was grateful to the Heritage guy for trying to sort of keep it on course, or at least keep it out of deep nutsville.
