No Reflection: the most brilliant prank ever

Grimmsays...

Legacy1000, Looks like it's a unisex washroom, the sign in the back with the arrow says Damen and Herren which translates into Women and Men so I'm guessing the toilet area is sectioned off from each other. Great prank...too bad they had to have the small mirror in the back. *1stTube

Yes, the two chicks in front and behind the glass window (not a mirror!) are twins. They've rebuilt the bathroom in mirror mode behind the window.

The peoples reactions are incredibly unfunny... very German. I'm underwhelmed by us.

Here comes some german insight:

The setup is: An identical room on the other side, and no mirror but just glass.
The "reflected" girl is acutally a twin of hers who copies her moves. (Hence the slow movements to get maximum accuracy.)
You can see it is not 100% accurate in some places, but definitely enough to freak the victims out.

Could do an entire translation if someone requests it but the story transports mostly through the baffled looks on the peoples faces.

Judging from the presenters voice this is from the german show "Verstehen Sie Spass?" with Frank Elstner.

I remember they did a few bits with twins or even triplets.
In one they ordered a huge menu at a restaurant, ate it up, went to the bathroom and switched with their empty stomached twins who then ordered the same again. And ate it!

I´ll try and find one other clip they did with a stoplight in the middle of nowhere.

Edit:Should have read comments first. I guess the explanation is already there.

The lady after the bike messenger is the best.
The twin keeps telling her that she sees her, and she disappears when she takes off her glasses. The second time around she takes them off the twin tells her "Now I only see the Jacket"

Good stuff! Thanks for the sift!

Absolutely awesome. I think if I was one of the people in the bathroom, I would have touched the girl to see what would happen in the mirror. Would her jacket wrinkle if I poked her arm? I would have caught on then. Would have been great while I was confused as hell though!

Fun twin info: my uncles are identical twins. as children, they used to sit facing each other and mirror each others' actions. one is now primarily right handed, the other left.

This is excellent, those twins are damn good. I wish I was there being pranked, it would be interesting to experience it first hand with no idea that it's a prank. I probably wouldn't notice their synchronisation errors for a while, then I'd do something like suddenly pat her on the shoulder disguised as a friendly good bye on my way out after chatting, to see what happens to the reflection.

Kruposays...

"Pretty neat job, but it's pretty much impossible to have them perfectly in sync. As good as they were, I could still tell that it wasn't a real reflection."

Like deathcow said, being there on the spot would make it trickier to tell since you wouldn't be looking at both at once most likely, plus you'd be tripping. With the advantage of knowing it's a prank and watching a video at home (school? work? UN General Assembly?) you're relaxed enough to study it and tell what's off.

Funny to watch the girl(s) move in a herky-jerky way, no doubt to make it easier to stay in sync.
