I don't know what to think about this.

On one hand, I feel like Dumbo is not a good candidate for a remake. It's probably best left in the past... it's certainly "problematic".

OTOH, there's some decent talent attached to it.

This is purely about Disney needing to Reset all their property Trademarks. They need to remake every property they have in order for the licensing to remain intact and not fall into Public Domain.

They are doing this for every singe animated move they've made.

I agree that's part of their decision making process, but if that was the only reason for the remakes they would just make insanely cheap movies that fulfill the legal requirements to extend the trademarks but have no chance of making (or losing) much money, wouldn't they?
