Biker Attempts to Flee from Police - They Are So Nice to Him

His attempt to flee is unsuccessful, but it's pretty interesting how nice the cops seem to treat him once he's stopped.

Uh, no, like instead of tackling him to the ground and wrestling his arms behind his back and jamming their knees into his neck they just put a hand on his shoulder and walk him over to their car.

To me, this says something about the intelligence of European criminals. He knew that when he was on his bike he had a chance, but once he was off he realized there was no point struggling.

Right, which was my point.

I don't really think it's "nice" to treat someone humanely and respectfully. Even if he was trying to evade the cops, it's not like he just ran over a child or something.

I'm curious if he had caused an accident with that little stunt... (and i think we can agree it's simply luck that he did not) would it then have been alright to have him hauled to the ground...

I really despise this kind of person... he is entirely willing to take a joy ride at his own expense but not give a thought to the literally hundreds of people he put at risk...

Getting tossed on the ground and a knee jammed in his back is a lot better than he deserved.

^ agreed.
not endorsing actual police brutatlity, anywhere, of course.
but this is not some peaceful protester, or skateboarder, simply not complying.

shouldn't be fear of the cops, that keeps people from idiot stunts like this.

should be fear of plowing into pedestrians.

I hate to see chases in general, because they only endanger the innocent. But this to me is a true display of gentleman like behavior by both the biker and the cop. The game was the chase. They both knew the rules. The biker was beaten and calmly surrendered while the cops knowing that they had already won, needed no further ego strokeage.

Right, which was my point. It's all relative. In America he most likely would have been treated "not nicely" (a lot of physical force, not humanely, not respectfully), but by comparison to that, the man in this video was treated "nicely" (no apparent physical force, humanely, respectfully).

We seem to be talking about two different topics. I'm talking about how people are treated while you seem to be talking about how people should be treated. And I agree with you on that subject.

To be honest, if the cop had put his boot to the guy's head, I would've looked the other way. The prick was endangering lives, so he has no sympathy from me.

er... and 300 pound white dudes on cocaine are different how?

Well they get shorter sentences...

LOL. That was so wrong.

I was going to say the white guys survive the altercation.

But seriously after the shear number of videos of US cops tasering innocent protesters, and savagely beating mildly misbehaving offenders, to know that there are well behaved cops (and criminals) in the world is refreshing.

Big black dudes are scarier to white people. Unless the white dude has shaved his head and has tattoos all over his body, then it's a tie.

Was I the only one that had the image of British gentlemen speaking to each other after the stop?

"Pardon my knocking you over there, but we sure got you good, didn't we?"
"Right-o, chap, I have been outdone today!"
"Alright, then, follow me and we'll get this all sorted out down at the station."
