Happy Birthday Choggie, Raven AND Dotdude!...... AND Eric!!!

Today is two of my favorite sifter's birthdays Choggie, Raven......many happy returns.

It's too bad Siftbot doesn't know everyone's birthday. Wouldn't it be nice if Siftbot himself Sift Talked a b-day shout out for members? ooooh and a promote from Sifty as a present ..................

edit: Well, someone was holding out on us. Dotdude's b-day is the 5th.
.............................
another edit: Happy Birthday to Eric too!

oh no... you went and posted it! *shakes wing at swampy* Anyway, thanks so much!

@maudlin, we are indeed two, although sometimes, in the night I wake up screaming in choggish with thoughts of texas and head-busting racing through my brain, so who knows, maybe there's a connection!

Out of one hundred people in a room, two of them will invariably have the same birthday. One of those two people will invariably be slightly goofier than the other . . . but only slightly.

Happy Birthday ewe twOOOOOOOOOOO!

I just found out another prominent Sifter has a birthday tomorrow. My next sift will be for him/her....you guys can guess who. (I'm suddenly acting 10 years old?)

Farhad2000 says...

I got a box of human bones... not kidding ... one of the drawing teachers at school was cleaning out her studio before moving, apparently I'm the only one she thought would like them!

Happy birthday eric3579!

Thank you for the birthday wishes, everybody.

Gifts? So far I've got a gift certificate to go shopping at an art supply store. Another gift is three musicals at Tulane with my family: "Chicago", "High Society" and "Little Me" - includes dinner after.

With my candle count, we might need a fire extinguisher.

"Coonass" might not be the wisest word to use on some folks in this area. Besides, I really can't claim to be one.

Wikipedia has this on the word:

Anyway, I'm off to hang out with the mac addicts . . . lata gatas, after while crocodile . . .

choggie says...

Hmmm....my uncle was a coonass.....some non-offensive vernacular around the grannies house.....I consider it an endearing term for my southern coast bros........! And cajun cuisine is one of my favs.........

silvercord says...

Dotdude - I used to live in Alexandria, LA. "Coonass" was used fairly often as both a term of disparagement but also of endearment. I never quite got used to it, myself.

I can only claim French, not Cajun French background. Most of the family lines have lived in New Orleans several generations. There are other ethnics thrown in too, but French is dominant. My dad spoke French first and was called “Frenchy” in college.

I found this on the Cajun French language - since it has some differences from the regular French language:
