What's the point in leaving dead videos dead in a playlist. At least if you kill them they can be fixed. If you leave em they can't be watched anyhow. I say kill them. rasch is probably gonna spontaneously combust if you do that though. Yet anotrher reason to kill em all

I killed/fixed all of my vids on the list.

Tips:

Imeem, Noolmusic and Myspace are good for replacing music vids.

AOL has greatly improved their video service.

If they are dead, might as well mark 'em as dead so they can be dealt with.

Is it not considered proper etiquette on the sift to mark a video as dead when it is? I feel as though I am helping people letting them know that the video is no longer functional so that they may fix it.

If the member is no longer active or cannot find a suitable replacement within the two days, it goes to the dead pool to open it up for the entire community to help revive so we can bring the videos back from the dead (and gives the person fixing it a power point).

It's a win/win scenario for all.

Perhaps it would be better if a few of us worked through the list deading them? 3,800 dead invocations is a lot for one person to make.

You might want to make this a group playlist. Some of these aren't dead and need to come off. Hopefully everyone checks to make sure before they start killing off every video in the list.

I was about to make the same point as burdturgler after burdturgler deaded one of my videos that wasn't dead, but now I don't have to, or do I?

i just did the reaping on pages 6-8. those that aren't marked as dead you can remove from the playlist (edit: by owner-defined sorting that is. and thanks to eric for making an effort. kudos)

I went trhough mine and left a comment 'embed fixed.' on those I was able to fix. I think I have only one that I haven't been able to find a new embed for, but I am working on it!

We had a huge storm with power going off for a bit, that slowed me down some =)

Just, as an aside, we're not going to add to this list anymore, right? Because we have a deadpool now, and a *dead invocation. Yeah?

I've gone through and deaded most of my vids, 36 so far, wanktastic. Anyway they're all up for grabs to be fixed, don't see the point fixing them myself when people can earn PP for them

If it were star points like it used to be, then yeah, I agree that would be bad. But it's just a power point.

What I would like to see, is letting it go back to where you could earn multiple power points for fixing dead videos. ie. fix 10 videos .. get 10 points. It was a great motivator for swimming in the dead pool .. and in a couple of days we're going to have 3800 reasons to take a dive. I know it's off topic. I'll make a poll when blankfist is done whoring out the top of sifttalk.

I went through the first few pages last night to help deadify a bunch of them last night. It's a little monotonous, but helpful to use campidelmondo's InvoLinks script so that I just click a button. I actually did double check all the videos I was deadifying before marking them.

Apologies to all whose videos are dead, but dead videos don't help the quality of the sift.
