'Rescue' is definitely a mischaracterization. The wolverine was expecting dinner, not acting in some altruistic manner.

If I was in a spot expecting help and heard my "rescuer" making those dreadful noises....I would fully expect to be eaten shortly.

My wolverine would have a cooler name than "Jasper". Like "Jaws" or "Fritz" or "Belushi". Jasper... pffft. Jasper is clearly a hedgehog or goldfish name.
