It kinda brings me back to my childhood days watching Sinbad, except with sex.

Oh no, it's my arch nemesis again... Pirates (this movie, not the scourge of seven seas in general, never had an issue with them personally).

Hugely successful in terms of making money, very unsuccessful in terms of actually being sexy and arousing (which I kinda thought the porn was).

I've ranted about this on other posts already, so I won't repeat here.

Having said that, the lead guy is at least funny in his posturing.

It's more of a comedy with softcore porn bits in it. I for one think the movie is hilarious, and the slightly bad acting only adds to it.

This is way better than other pirate movies (except Matusalem of course). Also, it is way more realistic.

When they didn't recoup their production costs with the hardcore release, they reedited the sex scenes to make a softcore release. With all the video rental shops that bought it, they made enough money to make a sequel.

And Yes, I am ashamed that I know that.
