White House Chief of Staff Admits Quid Quo Pro in Ukraine

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney unapologetically admits there was a quid quo pro in Ukraine, withholding congressionally approved military aid until their president agreed to investigate Trump's Democratic rivals and debunked right wing conspiracy theories about them. This right before wiping his ass with the constitution to announce the G7 summit at Trump's failing hotel, a blatant ethics and emoluments clause violation for Trump's personal gain.

They're still planning the G7 for Trump's club during it's off season (filling the otherwise empty rooms).
Just gonna leave this here for @bobknight33 before he tries to defend and excuse yet another blatant violation of the constitution....

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Emolument: a salary, fee, or profit from employment or office.

Any fee of any kind whatever....so no, claiming he's renting the resort "at cost" means nothing....less than nothing when you understand that he claims his subcontractors can make any profit they wish as long as the property doesn't profit, and he uses Trump subcontractors that can set their own price with no negotiations. That's exactly how he bankrupted his casinos.

"These things happen all the time."
To bargain on behalf of the country, yes.
To bargain on behalf of an individual, immoral.
To bargain on behalf of an individual's political campaign to help in an upcoming election, illegal.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating. Trump didn't care that everyone assumed he was hiding his taxes because he was committing tax fraud. That means the truth is worse.

What's worse than a felony in Trump's world?

People realizing he's bankrupt.

Why does Russia have such a hold over him?

Well, we know he's borrowed huge sums from Russian oligarchs, we don't know how much, because he won't open up his finances, but it's a pretty safe bet those loans are all that's keeping him afloat.

Everything that he's done only lends proof to the hypothesis. He bends over backwards for Russia or any tin pot dictator who can do him a 'favour' and he uses every bit of power he can muster to throw business toward his failing empire.

Trump was never a good businessman. His father cheated the tax code to gift him New York real-estate that would be worth 12 Billion today if Trump had simply held on and maintained the properties. Decades of wheeling and dealing later, he himself claimed he was worth about 2 Billion, and most realistic estimates placed his wealth well below a Billion. And that's in spite of his fraud, chicanery, stiffing contractors and investors, and general malfeasance.

He's always been an idiot. He's been blacklisted for decades by every American bank. They won't touch him, they won't look at his business plans and they won't even think of giving him any kind of loan.

How any American can look at him and think he has the slightest clue what he's doing, or think he actually cares about anyone other than himself is beyond me.

Utter Russian/Ukrainian separatist propaganda bullshit Bob. Not a single letter of truth in how it's presented.

The Burisma investigation began before Biden was hired, and was not being investigated by Shokin before or at the time he was fired for being corrupt himself.

April 18, 2014: Hunter Biden, 44, son of Joe Biden, joins the board of directors of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company. Biden’s directorship attracts attention because Burisma is owned by Mykola Zlochevsky, a minister under Yanukovych. Zlochevsky and subsidiaries of Burisma had faced accusations of money laundering, fraud and tax evasion. (Zlochevsky and the company have denied the allegations.)

Feb. 10, 2015: Ukraine appoints Viktor Shokin as prosecutor general. Shokin inherits some of the investigations into Zlochevsky and his company. But Vitaliy Kasko, who serves as Shokin’s deputy overseeing international cooperation until he resigned in protest, told Bloomberg in 2019 that, under Shokin, the investigation into Burisma remained dormant. Kasko said the matter was "shelved by Ukrainian prosecutors in 2014 and through 2015," and Bloomberg reported that documents backed up his account.

Winter 2015-16: Many Western leaders and institutions, as well as Ukrainian anti-corruption activists, view Shokin as corrupt and ineffective for failing to prosecute anybody of significance, and for protecting members of Yanukovych’s and Poroshenko’s circles. A frustrated Biden threatens to withhold $1 billion unless Shokin is fired. (He would later brag that his pressure tactics succeeded.)

Well son of a bitch....Bob's Russian style cranial rectosis flares up again.

Biden used sanctioned government pressure with international support to publicly route out corruption, Dumb Donald's corruption gets more difficult to ignore daily, and is ALL about personal enrichment, and is done through secretive unsanctioned back channels like his personal attorney who has no business interfering in foreign affairs, then hidden in super top secret servers where they have no business being hidden.

How much money have Trump's children taken from other countries in the last 3 years? All accounts based on their own filings indicate it's hundreds of millions, much through new business dealings created after Trump took office and gifts like dozens of patents from China worth tens of millions.

Everything I have ever said was irreverent.
Most of it is relevant.
It's sad but telling that you don't know the difference.

The fact that there was never an investigation of Biden's son for Biden to stop is relevant.
The fact that the prosecutor was removed for not prosecuting corruption, not to stop him from investigating corruption is relevant.
The fact that Biden said that with full international, and bipartisan American support, publicly, is relevant.

Conversely, the fact that Trump did it secretly, bypassing the official channels and officials by using his private lawyer for secret foreign policy that only benefits him is relevant.
The fact he withheld funding for personal, not official reasons nor in the national interest is relevant.
The fact he repeatedly requested foreign help with a campaign ploy is relevant.
The fact his family has taken more foreign money than he delusionally claims Biden made (but somehow doesn't have) is relevant.

The fact that I'll tell you to your face you have your head up your ass so consistently that you don't have to dye your hair anymore is irreverent.

Bob thinks it's related because Trump told him Biden withheld funding in a quid quo pro exchange for halting an investigation of Biden's son, and Bob only listens to Trump and has no memory of or interest in facts if they contradict Trump.
