Western Pennsylvania is racist - McCain accidentally agrees

"Sir, we couldn't find any African Americans to put behind you during your speech"
"How about a Mexican?"
"No sir, there's none of those here either."
"Well shit, go grab that Asian girl and plop her front and center next to the fat, white kid"

Hollywood ending.....

And then something curious happened. As McCain set up the premise for a fairly predictable attack on his opponent, something inside him snapped. Instead of landing the obvious blow, he turned it back onto the audience and his own party.

He launched into a passionate diatribe about the Republican party's strategy of pandering to racists, and about racism in general. He then explained how the party had twisted and molded him into something ugly and unrecognizable, and how his own ambition for power had temporarily blinded him. He vowed he would take no more and return to being the John McCain of a decade ago; the one who garnered respect from Independents and Democrats, as well as Republicans. "The old McCain is back", said McCain, stoically, with an inner-peace seldom seen from the Senator "..and I officially endorse Barack Obama for President of the United States."

For those who missed it, he said, "I couldn't agree with [Obama's supporters] more."

He also said, "I couldn't disagree with you. I couldn't agree with you more than the fact that Western PA is the most patriotic, most God-loving, most patriotic part of America."

WTF indeed.

'My campaign rival's supporters have forwarded derogatory comments about the people who occupy this area of the United States. I agree with those comments... Or, rather, I DIS-agree with those comments,... I would AGREE with a comment worded as to describe that the people of this region are without peers in their love of the Christian God, and also would like to propose the idea that this area's populace has no equal in their devotion to the United States,... in a general sense.'

(I'd vote for McCain if he spoke olde-timey english)

Two years down the road, in a parallel 2010...

"Sir, the Russian empire has answered our demands that they relinquish control and become our 51st state by calling us aggressive, hypocritical, war-mongering, ill-tempered and delusional..."

"Well, I couldn't agree with them more! I mean, I couldn't disagree with you ...umm...."

This is f_cking bullshi_t.
Im a lib. But what the f-ck ever, even if I didnt give props tp military service, even if it was a judgement only on personality, I really do respect McCain and his ol' point of view. But fuck. He needs to sit this round out.

And I know those on the right are feeling me when I say, some young guns are going to use the demise (demise? mother fucker what where you doing in 72?) of McCain as a "turning point" in the GOP. No no no. Dont use "HIS" defeat as a jumping off point for your platform you silly bugger.

well. whatever. I still respect McCain. Will always...

...and then, half-delirious and with his nightgown drenched in sweat, Dick Cheney woke up.

I agree with that to a point... three of the four men in my family served as well... and all had/have respect for Senator McCain... but I've heard all expres the same... Wow this is not the man we respected kind of view... and that he is more of an empty suit at this point. Standing for nothing but what he thinks might help him get elected today... the irony is I really think thats whats hurt him the most in this campaign.
