I'm not claustrophobic or afraid of elevators, but no... hell no I wouldn't ride that thing.

That's what happens when you use the metric system.

At first I was thinking, there's no way that's meant for humans, but I guess it wouldn't have controls on the inside if it was just for luggage or something.

thats pretty normal for a Parisian apartment block. you can just about get one person and luggage case. My advice is to get some exercise!

What if that thing got stuck for hours?!

My last time in Paris my hotel had an elevator not much bigger than this one. It was big enough for myself, my brother and one bag each. The hard part wasn't riding the elevator it was the getting in and out with bags.
