mysdrialGood thing they're not reading comics, or listening to that heavy metal....

Same old scaremongering it always is. But I suppose that's marketing.
eric3579*viral nonsense me thinks
siftbotAdding video to channels (Viral) - requested by eric3579.
brycewi19Deeply ironic that they are showing the kids' responses on ipads to the older generation rather than having them all in the same room.
erlantersays...This all started with those goddamned books.
spawnflaggeryeah, how are kids supposed to get access to pornography without that mystery stash-o-playboy-magazines found in the woods?
TrancecoachWell, if the parents let the children play outside, then a neighbor will call the cops, the parents will get arrested, and the will get kids put in the care of "Social Services."
EMPIREsays...Books, radio, movies, comics, tv, computers, videogames, internet, social networks, etc... etc ad nauseam.
You know what I find truly terrifying? The absolute inability some people have to learn through history and their absolute ability to choose their own childhood (no matter what generation it is) as the pinnacle of a "proper" childhood.
rancorsays...In fairness, video games are pretty rad and all those other activities kinda suck.
00Scud00says...Ironically most parents are so terrified of what "might" happen to their kids when they are out and about these days that they are happier keeping them home with video games and the internet.
An environmental psychologist studied how far away from home kids would go to play 30 years ago and then compared it to now and the results were pretty stunning.

PaybackStop commenting on my childhood, dammit.
yeah, how are kids supposed to get access to pornography without that mystery stash-o-playboy-magazines found in the woods?
PaybackI agree the story in your link is overkill, but I called the cops in a similar situation just last year. Two little girls walking down a busy (15-20 cars per minute) rural road, obviously nowhere near home, neither one over 4 or 5 years. Freaked me right out. I wasn't in it to embarrass anyone like the bitch portrayed in your link, but sincerely worried about the kids. When making assumptions in children's welfare, you're never truly wrong dropping to the lowest denominator.

bcglorfsays...And they added in the grown adults with years to retell and refine the best and favourite stories from growing, then pretend it's honest to compare the same story telling ability of children still only part way through those years, let alone with years to pick out the best times and articulate them well...
But I guess what do you expect from a commercial from a food company...

PaybackI'm sure parents would feel safer if pedophilia came with mandatory capital punishment.

kceaton1I like how they fail to utterly mention that parenting has a huge say in how/what your child decides to do for fun; whether it be inside or outside. I voted it up, but I'd appreciate it if the ad makers realized that children don't raise themselves.
00Scud00says...Sure, it's all fun and games until someone wants you dead and plants false evidence which leads to your rapid execution.
I'm sure parents would feel safer if pedophilia came with mandatory capital punishment.
