Always loved watching that. So * skilful.

Have to say it got a lot better once they changed the distance between the bars to allow for a full rotation. Much better flow, in my uninformed opinion.

bah didn't show my favorite uneven bars move the Korbut Flip it was banned awhile back, but was amazing while it lasted.

Parkour have taken the Korbut flip and kept it alive though.

I can't help but listen to that and think of Ed Harris saying "What have I done..?" and then dying. "WHERE'S THE LAST ROCKET?!"

Also, I really enjoyed the 60s uneven bars. I had no idea they used to be close together, and it resulted in some awesome dismounts.

It's amazing how much creativity can be had on two flexible sticks. Is it just me or did those girls seem to get younger as the years went on?

From what I understand, some moves are banned due to danger (meh). But I agree, some slow moves just kinda weren't done any more.

They used to do a lot of awesome moves that don't seem to exist anymore. Too bad.

Let's face it, the Olympics were better during the Cold War. Bullshit though it was, it did feel like there was more riding on it than fucking money like now. With all due respect to the Chinese, who are doing just what ever other country has done to win medals, they just came to the party too late.
