The Dumbest Death in the James Bond Series

Suspend your disbelief and watch as Bond dispatches Dr. Kananga with the most ridiculous method and special effects ever used. As a bonus, watch the dumbest line in the movie right after that.

Roger Moore turned Bond into a joke and ruined the whole damn thing. The man has starred in countless films, loved and lost a string of women and spawned 3 offspring. Yet the greatest contribution he has given the earth drops out of his anus when he sits down in the smallest room.

I cannot express how much i hate Roger Moore. I've never met the man, and i hope i never have to. He's a despicable waste of human flesh, a smarmy pompous arrogant trumped up eye brow waggling t**t.

He ruined James Bond, and he ruins every cubic millimetre of air that he uses to voice his vacuous stories about nothing that anyone cares for, in his stupid voice.

If i ever saw him sleeping i'd shave his eyebrows off out of spite. And i'd do it with a strimmer.

Asshat.

^ Erm, you do know that in the art of filmaking, it's the producers, directors, and writers who decide what James Bond will come out looking like, and not the lead actor...right?

Anyways, I thought the last line was great - I watched this in the morning and I know I'll have a smile on my face for the rest of the day

Deliciously cheesy line, that's why it's so great.

And IMO, the only Bond that truly deserves mountains of hate piled upon him is George Lazenby. The rest have been of varying quality, but Connery's my favorite. Everybody's gay for him though...

hmmm, might be a good one for the mythbusters to examine on the next james bond special

i always thought that roger moore was a great james bond. its not his fault that the series got silly. it was the 80's after all. he really knew how to deliver a gag tho.

ps: yaphet kotto was great in midnight run

All of the actors played a different Bond, they all had their strengths, and they were all appropriate to their time. Moore was more of the suave debonair 70's - 80's Bond, as opposed to Connery's 60's overtly masculine image. Even underrated Lazenby was somewhere in the middle. I've loved them all, even Dalton.

And Live and Let Die is still one of my favorites, despite this crazy sequence.

Mmm... Jane Seymour!

Ah good, the white man killed both the black guys to save the white girl that the black guys kidnapped. Thank you, 1973, for teaching us this valuable lesson in racial equality. Finally, black men can have starring roles in film.

Lertad, i think you have been misled. It is the predominately the producer who decides on the James Bond performance, the director is just left to make good with what he/she is given. As for Roger Moore, he is the one who makes the final decision on his representation of a character. He ruined the series for such a long time. Although the writers wrote his dialogue, it is still Mr Moore who reads and performs the scene. Saying otherwise is ridiculous as many of the writers for Roger's films were the same as Connery's.

OK guys, list the Bonds in order from greatest to least. Mine are: Connery, Craig, Dalton, Brosnan, Lazenby, Moore.

Moore came after Lazenby for me because he ruined lots of movies, while Lazenby only messed up one.

Of course I am gay for Connery, but I grew up with Moore, so I will always have a soft spot for him. And you seriously can't blame the actors for cheesy crap like this. It is extremely rare for them to have veto power. All they can do is try to pull it off without breaking character.

I still don't think that Moore ruined the series anywhere close to the way the scripts for The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day ruined the series. And I sure as hell don't blame Brosnan for that. He had so much potential and was completely misused by those two crap-fests. Craig is a wonderful and amazing surprise, don't get me wrong, but the new reboot of the series seems 20 times better because it's coming off of absolute shit.

Can't wait for the full blown return of S.P.E.C.T.R.E.!

People rag on Lazenby, but they're usually older British who never got over Connery. I just watched Lazenby in OHMSS, and I was amazed by how good it was, and how good he was. I'd been fed so much rubbish about how bad his performance was over the years, I just assumed there was something to it. No, it's just sad Brits with a complex.
