Teacher Pete Kaser decided to remove all the brand name toys in his class and replace them with raw materials like cardboard and styrofoam.

Good for them. But it is obvious you can have fun with basic stuff, kids do that in far less privileged countries.
What I like most is that it encourages a child's imagination.

I think it's a fine idea, but it's not at all surprising. I think the teacher has got the right idea - run with it until the kids become bored.

Sure, it all smells like vomit, but aside from that, great idea!

(And please don't tell me I'm the only one who recognizes that cardboard often smells like vomit.)
