One of the best fighting games I played for the sole fact that you can be cloud, sephiroth, and I think tifa.

Good luck finding it though, it was a PSX title and is now nearly impossible to find.

My biggest WTF that's not on the list is when I saw Hitler's head explode in Bionic Commando. Before then I don't think I'd ever even seen a drop of blood in a video game, besides Double Dragon.

Number 2 was really bloody good,, more for the last bit, where for the first time ever in game I went "holy shit" I am dead...

Yeah X-Men for the Genesis was a WTF because of the bad translation. Its says something about rebooting the computer. I spent hours upon hours searching for this damn computer before time ran out and every time failed. Until someone said "oh you have to reset your system and you'll start on the final level", seriously.

So much for not spoiling recent games.

Biggest WTF moment in a game for me was the first time I ever saw someone skiing in the original Starsiege:Tribes. Followed a few weeks later by the first time I ever saw a heavy skiing in Starsiege:Tribes.

I think they were wise not to spoil Bioshock, but Bioshock has about three of its own WTF moments that rival anything on this list.

Handsome Tom did leave screw attack from what I can tell, and as I said before, the moments do seem to be out of order, or at least the #1... I'm sorry I forgot to say spoilers, thats a my bad... and I admit that the idea of Silent hill 2 could have been on the list, but one of Bioshock's moments could have been on the list...

Unbelievable, they always end these lists with Mario or some other side scroller. It's past time to let go of the nostalgia already. Or, include it in the list, but don't feel obliged to always put it at the top out of loyalty, said nostalgia, credit, or whatever other useless notion.

Anyway, number one should've been the recent Limbo of the Lost controversy. But then, I guess that wasn't a moment as much as an entire game full of back to back moments.

Playing Doom when it came out was an ongoing OMGWTF moment for me. I think the biggest reason, though, was because I knew nothing about it. The web was young and I didn't have access anyway. I didn't read any gaming magazines. I had literally never heard of Doom or seen a screenshot. One of my classmates brought a few floppy disks in at school one day and handed them to me. I asked what it was and he said, "it's the new Wolfenstein."

Playing the game without any idea of what could happen or what I might see or find brought it to a level that's probably unattainable now. I didn't know what weapons to expect. I didn't know what monsters to expect. I didn't know what the engine was capable of technically, so I had no idea of what sort of traps and secrets and such to expect.

The first time I came face to face with a pinky demon I began yelling, "Holy shit! Holy shit!" out loud. Finding a hidden chainsaw was also quite shocking. I don't think this sort of thing will ever happen again. We know everything about a game long before we ever get to play it now. We know the development decisions, the cut features, the specs and features of the engine.

So yeah, Doom is my #1 OMGWTF videogame, though largely because of the environment it was released in rather than its own doing.

As for the video, I did love the Darth Revan twist and I remember a good deal of gasping the first time we saw Scorpion torch somebody. The COD4 nuke would definitely be on my list if I had played it myself, but I pretty much quit FPS after Quake 3. My friend showed it to me, but I had already heard what happens so it took the awe right out of it.

It has nothing to do with how hard it is to get top 15 on this site man, hell it could be close to impossible and only 1 in a million get it but seriously you're honored to get some rare achievement on some random online video webpage full of idiots and crybabies and hell people like me. I mean woooopie... try out a real challenge maybe. something worthwhile?

Yeah, I had to look it up but their example of a recent game they wouldn't spoil, bioshock, came out in August of last year. . . And CoD4 came out in December.

Probably because no one plays CoD games for their stories, while the story of Bioshock is one reason why it's so adored.

Biggest WTF moment I remember right now is the freaking girl in FEAR standing at the top of the ladder I am just climbing up.
Oh yeah, the Quake 4 part where you get "improved" was also pretty WTF.
